What is the best rehair? The one you like!

How do you like your rehair?

Do you have preferences about the thickness of the hair, the tension, the amount of hair on the attack side, do you prefer a flat rehair?

Do you like white hair, black hair or salt & pepper?

I love to do rehairs!

From my point of view, there are basics to a good rehair (good hair, good plugs…) and also specificities depending on what the musicians like, what they are used to, the music they play, the type of bow they have and what instrument they play.

In my opinion, the more important thing to focus on is to listen to what the musician wants. I like to talk with musicians and know what they need so I can do my best to give what they need. Every detail is important. Communication is important.

The quality of the hair is important, the way it’s washed, or not washed. There are different techniques to install the hair. Some start installing it by the frog, some start by the head. Some wet the hair, some don’t.

Also, as the hair is an organic material, batches can have slight differences in the quality even when we order the best.
